Thank you to all who ran for the board. Congratulations to those elected. I want to thank the Election Committee, Jose Torres and Timmie Winebrenner who assisted me in organizing and counting the votes. Also, I want to thank Jose for creating the ballots, and Bryan and Timmie for conducting the balloting during election night.
The vote on the proposed West Coast Challenge rule change was 72 in favor and 10 opposed. Thank you for weighing in on this.
Hi Lo Tournament: The Hi Lo will be held this Sunday, April 10 with sign up at 9 am. Play will begin promptly at 10 am. You must register before 10 am. This is a West Coast Challenge Qualifying event, with the top team representing the LAPL in July. The tournament will be held at Jerry's Billiards in Pasadena, 1312 N. Lake Avenue, Pasadena.
Help for the Cats: The LAPL is assisting with getting Jim Stramel's cats to their new home in upstate New York. The LAPL Help Fund contributed $100 and individual league members matched that contribution with $200 in individual donations. A total of $300 was donated this week towards this effort along with two sympathy cards signed by many league members. Thank you Saeromi Kim for organizing this effort.
Playoffs will begin Tuesday, April 12. Attached are the playoff brackets. Please check the time and location of your games. The team at the top of the bracket practices first.
