Dear LAPL Members,

This past Tuesday we held our semiannual elections to our BOG for the LAPL.  There were 4 spots open and 5 people on the ballot.  For the second time in many years we had a tie for the 4th place position on the board.

The results are as follows:

Jake Fisher 59 votes
Saeromi Kim 54 votes
Schesary Berrios 50 votes
Bryan Haneiwich 37 votes
Cliff Giles Jr. 37 votes

Bryan and Cliff got together to discuss the matter between themselves and Bryan graciously resigned from the balloting leaving Cliff Giles Jr. our 4th board member.  Congratulations to Cliff and the other top 3: Jake, Saeromi, and Schesary as our new additions to the BOG.  Their positions will take effect at midnight June 13th at the close of our West Coast Challenge.

To all Captains, please get your score sheets to Schesary ASAP after this week's match so the brackets may be put together.

Also a reminder of the Don Carrier Memorial Fundraiser will be held at Trunks on April 13th.  This will be quite a tribute to one of the LAPL Legends.

Best of luck for the last week of play.

Brad Camac
President LAPL

Dear members of the LAPL,

It is time again to vote for spots opening on the Board of Governors for the LAPL.  There will be 4 positions opening up for this vote.  Belowis a list of 5 candidates who have put their names into the ring.  Please remember you can only vote for a maximum of 4 candidates.  As in the recent past, we will allow Absentee Ballots to be cast on behalf of a member who is off the night of voting, so long as their captain has in writing by email / text / or voicemail their choices before the voting has occurred.

The captain for each HOME match on Tuesday will be receiving the ballots for both teams playing in their match.  You will receive 12 Ballots and one envelope.  Upon the completion of voting, the Home Captain will seal all votes cast in the envelope provided and have both Home and Visiting Captains sign the sealed envelope.

Members nominated to run for BOG are:

Jake Fisher (incumbent)
Saeromi Kim
Bryan Haneiwich (webmaster)
Cliff Giles Jr.
Schesary Berrios (incumbent)

Best of luck for all the members who are running for the BOG!!!

On a final note to Captains:
Please remind your team that this coming Sunday is the Pick your Partner Fundraiser being held at the Eagle.  As usual, registration will open at 12:00 pm and play will start at 1:00 pm.

All the best,
Brad Camac
President LAPL
