2014

Hi all,

Week 9 stats are out.  I want to thank the members that showed up for the 7 8 9 tournament.  $255 was raised with only 13 players.

Congratulations to the winners:

4th place Steve King
3rd place Jon Bourgault
2nd place Dustin Louief
1st place Justin Yau
This was Justin’s first win during a fundraiser event full of good players…  congratulations Justin.

Please put on your calendar our next fundraiser, the Jr / Sr to be held at Trunks on November 9th.  This has been one of our best fundraisers of the year.  You get to aim for the title of “Champion of the Ages”.

Next week is the last week of regular season and we request the captains to deliver your score sheets to Schesary at the Gold Coast immediately after play.  You may also take a photo of your score sheet and text it to Schesary.  The playoffs will start the following Tuesday November 11th.

Brad

We had 27 people show up for the Johnny Cochran memorial greased lightning tournament at the Eagle LA yesterday.

The 15 second shot clock did not seem to effect our top 4.

4th Marty Brennan
3rd Micheal Pfanansteal
2nd Mike Harris
and our Champion, Mr. Russ Pepin.

The 50/50 was won by Timmie.  We raised a total of $515 for the league.

Thanks for everyone that attended!

Jake

Hello Everyone,

Congratulations to the top 3 members receiving the most votes.  Thanks to Steve Duckman for running a very close race.  The new members of the board will take office at the end of the WCC in San Francisco.

Best regards,

President LAPL

P.S Don’t Forget this coming Sunday October 26th is our 7-8-9 ball Fundraiser, registration is from noon to 1:00pm and this will take place at the Eagle.  Hope to see everyone there.

Dear LAPL Members,

We have just finished week 7 of our regular season play.

I want to thank Saeromi Kim for organizing the first “open house to new prospective members” showing interest in the LAPL. This will be held at Trunks Bar during play on week 8 (next Tuesday). This will be a chance for the new players to see the pool league in action, get acquainted with the rules of play, and just getting to meet some of the players in our league. Great work Saeromi!!!

Also on week 8, we will be holding the election for the nominees running for the Board of Governors. We have 4 members running for 3 spots. One of the Board Members will be dropping off ballots for each team. Thanks to all the nominees for offering their time and expertise to the LAPL.

The 4 nominees are:

Bryan Haneiwich
Al Ballesteros
Jon Bourgault
Steve Duckman

Finally, we are starting our raffle for one of the new “iPads”. Like our last raffle, we have a limited number of chances to win with only 200 tickets available. The Board is asking each Captain to have their team sell only 10 tickets. The tickets are priced at only $10 each with a chance for that ($500 value) iPad.

All the best,

Brad Camac
President LAPL
